REGENERATION

Shedding is defined as ‘The manner in which an animal routinely casts off a part of its body during specific points in its life cycle’. We, humans, do undergo the process of shedding although it might not be as evident and in the same manner, as reptiles shed their skin. I have looked at it from a metaphorical perspective of embracing change - the act of discarding memories, emotional baggage, and old habits.

We don’t necessarily shed only what we want to forget but also what we want to change. Whether it is intentional or unintentional. Like the snake, we shed the old and grow fresh skin that allows us to see the world through new eyes.
